Kilt Measuring Guide



  • A: Neck size
  • B: Sleeve length
  • C: Chest
  • D: Waist
  • E: Seat
  • F.a: Standard kilt length/drop*
  • F.b: Military kilt length/drop*
  • H: Inside Leg
  • G: Outside Leg*
  • *Please note that kilt drops and trouser lengths are dictated by where you want to wear the garment. If you prefer to wear the garment 1" above your naval then please adjust your measurement accordingly.


    Measuring Tips:

    • It's easiest to have someone measure you

    • Stand straight up and relax

    • Measure at points shown above without holding your breath

    • Ensure measurement is not taken over thick clothing

    • Tape measure should be snug but not tight

    • To measure standard kilt length, kneel on the floor and measure from naval to floor

    • All measurements should be taken in inches (size in centimetres divided by 2.54)
