2.5" Quaichs

The quaich (pronounced ‘kweich’, with the ‘ch’ as in loch) is a drinking cup unique to Scotland. The word is similar to the Gaelic word for a cup or bowl, and for many centuries, quaichs have been filled with whisky and shared with friends and loved ones. The quaich would be passed round from friend to friend and all would drink from the same cup. This, and the design of the quaich,  with two (or more) handles is a symbol of trust, friendship and love. These are the qualities associated with quaichs today, and why they are so often the perfect present on very special occasions such as weddings and births or christenings.
